Cape Cod’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade (Yarmouth, MA)

Slated for Saturday, March 9th, showcasing the 19th Annual parade at 11 a.m. in Yarmouth, this much-anticipated event, recognized as one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day parades in Massachusetts, promises a spectacle of greenery, spirited floats, animated bagpipers, and a jovial ambiance that captures the true essence of an Irish celebration.

The parade transforms Route 28 in Yarmouth into a showcase of creativity and enthusiasm. Local businesses and organizations craft floats, each vying for prestigious awards in categories like Most Whimsical, Best Representation of Parade Theme, and the esteemed Most Spectacular.

The parade is a beloved and much anticipated tradition, and Cape Cod warmly embraces the influx of visitors during the holiday, offering a plethora of activities and venues to prolong the festivities.

The Emerald Resort

Cape Cod Irish Village (Hyannis) proudly boasts itself as “A little bit of Ireland on Cape Cod,” a claim that rings especially true during St. Patrick's Day. The Cape Cod Irish Village commences its festivities a week early (March 8-10) with the Cape Cod Irish Festival, coinciding with the Cape Cod St. Patrick's Parade. Revelers can enjoy live entertainment throughout the weekend, featuring music acts, Irish step dancers, comedians, and deejays. Tickets are available in advance or at the door, or opt for their two-night getaway package, inclusive of festival admission.

Embracing St. Patrick's Day, Scally's will don a green hue, offering a selection of 30 beers on tap alongside a menu featuring green-inspired dishes such as Irish Poutine and Dublin Fried Chicken & Waffles.

Bobby Byrne’s (Mashpee and Hyannis)

At this place, patrons can uncover the rich history of these establishments, where language and artifacts celebrate Celtic heritage at its two distinctive Cape Cod locations, both adorned with the iconic Celtic Knot logo.
